A Scugog snowmobile crash on Sunday night has left a 31-year-old man with serious injuries, requiring airlift to a trauma centre in Toronto.
Durham police responded to the collision just before 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 8, near Byers Road and Cartwright West Quarter Line. Officers found the man on an unassumed road near his snowmobile.
The man was first taken to a local hospital for treatment, and due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition. By Monday morning, Durham police confirmed his condition had been upgraded to stable.
Durham police have requested anyone with information about the incident to contact Det.-Const. Kollaard at 905-579-1520, extension 5267.
