Durham Regional Police searching for three men in connection with a stabbing incident that took place on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in downtown Oshawa. The violent attack occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of Celina Street and Bruce Street, leaving one individual with serious injuries. The victim, a male, was immediately transported to a trauma center in Toronto, where he remains in stable condition.

According to Durham Regional Police, the victim and a friend were walking along Celina Street when they were approached by the three suspects, who engaged in a verbal altercation with them. The situation quickly escalated, and one of the suspects allegedly stabbed the victim before all three suspects fled the scene on foot.

The three suspects are described as follows:

  • Suspect 1: White male (no further details provided).

  • Suspect 2: Black male, approximately 5’6″.

  • Suspect 3: White male, approximately 6 feet tall.

In light of the ongoing investigation, Durham Regional Police are urging members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have relevant information to come forward. Specifically, the police are asking anyone who may have cell phone footage, dash cam footage, or surveillance footage of the incident or the suspects to share it with investigators. Individuals who provide useful information leading to the identification or arrest of the suspects may be eligible for a cash reward.

This stabbing incident has raised serious concerns about safety in downtown Oshawa, especially in the areas surrounding Celina Street and Bruce Street.
