A proposal for Liverpool Road townhouses in Pickering seeks permission to build 21 condominium units across five properties.

Plaza 6 Inc. submitted the application for 666, 668, 672, 678 and 682 Liverpool Road. Four townhouse blocks are planned within a common-elements condominium.

Two blocks would face Liverpool Road

Two blocks would front Liverpool Road and two would face an internal private road. Each unit would have two parking spaces and the project would include six visitor spaces.

The applicant seeks to redesignate the site from low-density to medium-density urban residential land. The current designation permits up to 30 dwelling units per net hectare; the application proposes 54.

Application is not approval

The submission begins municipal review. Details can change as planners, agencies, council and the public consider policy, servicing, access, traffic and nearby properties.

A separate Fifth Concession Road proposal reported with this application was already covered by All About Durham on September 30 and is not republished.
