Pickering Fall Registration is set to begin this week, giving residents access to a wide range of fitness, leisure and aquatic programs offered by the City of Pickering for fall 2026.
The City is providing separate registration dates for residents and non-residents, with Pickering residents receiving the first opportunity to secure spaces in popular programs.
Fall programs run from September through December and include activities for children, teens, adults and older adults. The City says its recreation programming is designed to serve different ages, abilities and interests.
Fitness and leisure registration opens Aug. 20
Pickering residents can begin registering for fitness and leisure programs at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.
Programs are already available to preview online, allowing families and participants to identify preferred activities before registration begins.
Fitness and leisure offerings can include group exercise, recreation activities, arts programs, sports and other structured programming.
Residents are encouraged to review available options in advance because some programs may reach capacity quickly.
Aquatics registration begins Aug. 27
Resident registration for aquatic programs will open one week later.
Aquatics registration begins at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27.
Swimming and aquatic programming are among the City’s regular recreation offerings at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex and other municipal facilities.
The Pickering Fall Registration schedule gives residents priority access before non-residents are permitted to register.
Different dates for non-residents
People who live outside Pickering can also register for fall programming, but their registration window begins later.
Non-residents can register for:
- Fitness and leisure programs beginning Aug. 27
- Aquatic programs beginning Sept. 3
The City’s registration page confirms those dates as part of the Fall 2026 schedule.
The staggered system provides Pickering residents with earlier access to available program spaces.
How to register
Residents can browse, search and register for programs through the City of Pickering’s online recreation system.
Online registration accepts Visa and Mastercard payments.
The City also provides other registration options, including in-person registration at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex at 1867 Valley Farm Road.
Residents planning to register online should make sure their account information is current before registration opens.
Having preferred programs, activity codes and backup choices ready can make the process faster.
Programs available for many age groups
The City describes its recreation guide as offering opportunities for every age, ability and interest.
Programming includes activities for children and families as well as programs specifically designed for adults and residents aged 55 and older.
Pickering also offers certain recreation fee reductions and financial assistance programs for eligible participants. The City’s registration information notes that qualifying seniors and people with disabilities may receive fee reductions for eligible programs.
Residents encouraged to prepare early
With Pickering Fall Registration opening Aug. 20 for fitness and leisure programs and Aug. 27 for aquatics, residents have two important dates to remember.
Previewing available courses now and preparing an online account ahead of time may help participants secure their preferred programs once registration opens.
