A Pickering 3D-printed gun investigation has led to charges against a 16-year-old after reports of online threats involving a local high school.
Police said several sources, including international policing partners, reported comments about producing firearms and carrying out a school shooting.
Search found printer and incomplete receiver
Officers searched a Pickering home Thursday and seized electronics, a 3D printer and an incomplete polymer lower receiver for an Urutau firearm design.
The youth is charged with uttering threats and manufacturing firearm parts. His identity is protected by law. The allegations have not been proven in court.
