Oshawa September 30 service changes will close City Hall and Service Oshawa for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, while waste pickup and recreation facilities keep regular schedules.
The day recognizes residential school Survivors, their families and communities, and the history and legacy of residential schools.
City Hall closes
City Hall and Service Oshawa will close September 30. Customer service staff will be available Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Waste collection will not change. Recreation facilities will keep regular hours for activities, programs and permits.
Observances planned
Activities include a Survivors’ Flag raising September 28, Orange Shirt Day September 30 and Orange Ribbon memorial sites through October 9.
