An Oshawa hospital threat has resulted in multiple charges against a local man after police responded to an armed person call at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.
On February 11 at approximately 8:35 p.m., officers attended the hospital following reports of a disturbance outside the emergency department. Police say two men were involved in a verbal altercation when one of them allegedly produced a firearm and made threats.
The suspect then fled into the hospital but was located shortly afterward. No injuries were reported.
Officers arrested the man without incident. A search revealed he was in possession of an imitation firearm. Police also confirmed he was already bound by a weapons prohibition at the time of his arrest.
Lorne Fredrick McConnell, 46, of Oshawa, is charged with:

Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace

Fail to comply with release order

Fail to comply with probation order (two counts)
