A new way to shop for groceries at No Frills and Loblaws in Durham Region is now available, as Loblaw launches a first-of-its-kind shopping experience powered by artificial intelligence.
Loblaw recently introduced the PC Express app within ChatGPT, allowing Canadians to shop for groceries directly through the AI platform. The new feature is designed to make grocery shopping faster, easier and more personalized.
Using the PC Express app in ChatGPT, customers in Durham Region can ask for meal ideas, build shopping lists and select products from their local No Frills or Loblaws store for pickup.
For example, a user can ask ChatGPT for a quick dinner idea for a family. The system will suggest a recipe and generate a grocery list. After entering a postal code, shoppers can choose their preferred store — including participating Loblaw-banner stores in Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering — and add the suggested items to their cart.
Customers can modify their selections before completing checkout, making the experience flexible and convenient.
Loblaw says the new integration strengthens its digital strategy and positions the company as a leader in retail AI innovation across Canada.
