Authorities are asking members of the public to remain alert and come forward with any information that could help locate him.

Jason last seen near Wentworth Street West

According to Durham police, Jason was last spotted in the area of Wentworth Street West and Cedar Street.

The intersection is located in south Oshawa, near residential areas and several major local roads.

Police have not provided additional information about where Jason may have been heading or whether he was travelling on foot or using a vehicle.

Investigators have also not indicated whether there are specific concerns about his safety beyond the fact that he has been reported missing.

Description released by police

At the time he was last seen, Jason was reportedly wearing a red-and-black Reebok T-shirt.

He was also wearing black pants and black running shoes with white soles.

Police have not released additional physical descriptors in the information provided, including his height, weight, hair colour or other identifying features.

Residents who were in the area Monday morning may want to consider whether they saw someone matching the clothing description.

Police continue search

Durham Regional Police continue to investigate Jason’s disappearance and are asking anyone with relevant information to contact officers.

Information from residents, businesses and motorists could potentially help investigators establish his movements after he was last seen.

People who were near Wentworth Street West and Cedar Street around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 10 may also want to review any available dash-camera, doorbell-camera or security footage.

Even information that may initially appear minor could help police establish a timeline.

Public assistance can help missing-person investigations

Missing-person investigations can depend heavily on information from the public.

Witness reports, surveillance footage and confirmed sightings can help investigators determine where a person travelled after their last known location.

Residents should avoid spreading unconfirmed information or speculation online and should instead provide possible sightings or evidence directly to police.

If someone believes they have located a missing person who may be in immediate danger, they should contact emergency services.

Oshawa residents asked to stay alert

The Missing Man in Oshawa investigation remains active.

Residents in south Oshawa and surrounding areas are being encouraged to watch for Jason and report any information that could help officers locate him.

Police have not announced that he has been found as of the information provided.

The case should be updated immediately if Durham Regional Police announce a confirmed sighting, release new identifying information or confirm that Jason has been located.

Until then, anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Durham Regional Police through official channels.
