The May 10 weather southern Ontario outlook predicts daytime highs around 14°C, with sunshine expected throughout most of the region. Oshawa and other Durham communities may experience a few passing clouds, but conditions are still expected to remain bright and dry for most of the day.

Despite the warmer daytime weather, Environment Canada has also issued a yellow frost advisory for Oshawa and parts of Durham Region as overnight temperatures are expected to fall sharply after sunset.

The May 10 weather southern Ontario forecast indicates nighttime lows could drop to -1°C in Oshawa and nearby Durham communities, increasing the risk of frost formation overnight. Residents with gardens, flowers, or sensitive outdoor plants are encouraged to take precautions to prevent frost damage.

Elsewhere in southern Ontario, nighttime lows are expected to range between 1°C and 3°C, with patchy frost possible in some locations. Niagara Falls is one of the few areas not expected to experience frost overnight due to slightly warmer conditions.

Environment Canada says the May 10 weather southern Ontario conditions will also include moderate to strong winds throughout the day. Winds are expected to blow from the west at approximately 30 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h before shifting northwesterly Sunday night.

The UV index across much of southern Ontario is forecast to reach 6, classified as “high.” Weather officials are reminding residents to use sunscreen, wear sunglasses, and limit prolonged exposure during peak afternoon sunlight hours despite the cooler spring temperatures.

The combination of sunshine and cooler overnight temperatures reflects the ongoing transition from spring to summer across Ontario. The May 10 weather southern Ontario forecast provides a reminder that while daytime temperatures continue to improve, overnight frost risks still remain possible in many areas.

Residents planning outdoor Mother’s Day activities are expected to benefit from the warm and sunny daytime weather, although gardeners and homeowners are advised to monitor overnight temperatures carefully.

Overall, the May 10 weather southern Ontario outlook points to a bright and enjoyable spring day followed by a cold night with frost risks across Durham Region and several nearby communities.
