The Durham September 29 forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud Tuesday, with a daytime high of 21 C and a high UV index.
Environment Canada issued the forecast at 3:30 p.m. Monday. At midnight Tuesday, Oshawa Executive Airport was reporting cloudy skies, a temperature of 16.6 C and light north-northeast winds at 4 km/h.
Sun and clouds through the day
No daytime rain is included in the federal forecast. The UV index is expected to reach 6, which Environment Canada classifies as high. Residents spending time outside should plan for sun protection even with clouds in the forecast.
A few clouds are expected Tuesday night. Fog patches are forecast to develop overnight as the temperature falls to 12 C, which could reduce visibility for late-night and early-morning drivers.
Cloudier conditions return Wednesday
Wednesday is forecast to be cloudy with a high of 22 C and an overnight low of 14 C. Thursday remains cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high near 22 C.
The seasonal normals listed for Oshawa are a high of 17 C and a low of 7 C. Tuesday’s predicted high is therefore about four degrees above the normal late-September maximum.
Sunrise is listed for 7:10 a.m. and sunset for 7 p.m. The Durham September 29 forecast may be updated during the day as conditions change.
