Durham Region School Threat: Harmony Heights School Lockdown in Oshawa
On February 6, 2026, Durham Regional Police responded to a Durham Region school threat at Harmony Heights Public School in Oshawa. The school was placed under a “hold and secure” as officers investigated the threat. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the lockdown was lifted about 45 minutes later when police determined there were no further safety concerns.
This incident marks the second Durham Region school threat this year, following a similar situation at William Dunbar Public School in Pickering on January 28.
The Durham Regional Police Service has assured the public that updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
