Regular fuel expected to fall again

Premium and diesel prices also lower

Premium fuel in the GTA is forecast to decrease by another two cents Friday, bringing the expected price to approximately $1.909 per litre.
Premium gasoline had already fallen by approximately 10 cents per litre across much of southern Ontario on Thursday.
Diesel prices are also expected to decline by approximately two cents in many locations. The forecast price for diesel in the GTA is about $2.059 per litre on Friday.
Drivers should remember that premium and diesel prices often vary more widely between stations than regular gasoline prices.
Potential savings for Durham drivers
The combined 12-cent decline over Thursday and Friday could produce noticeable savings for drivers filling larger vehicles.
A motorist purchasing 40 litres of regular gasoline could save approximately $4.80 compared with the price before Thursday’s decrease.
Someone purchasing 60 litres could save approximately $7.20, assuming the full predicted reduction appears at the selected station.
Actual savings will depend on the amount purchased, the station’s price and when the retailer adjusts its pumps.
Drivers should compare nearby stations before travelling a significant distance solely to find lower prices. Fuel used during an additional trip can reduce the value of any savings.
