Environment Canada reported clear conditions and a temperature of 7.5 C at Oshawa Executive Airport at 5 a.m. on October 4. The official forecast calls for increasing cloudiness, with fog patches dissipating early in the morning.
High of 21 C with a chance of showers
Oshawa and surrounding communities are expected to reach a high of 21 C, about six degrees above the seasonal normal high of 15 C. There is a 40 per cent chance of showers late Sunday morning.
Southwest winds are forecast to strengthen to 20 km/h near noon, with gusts reaching 40 km/h. The ultraviolet index is expected to reach 3, or moderate.
Sunday night will be partly cloudy with another 40 per cent chance of showers late in the evening and after midnight. Southwest winds of 20 km/h, gusting to 40, are expected to shift to the northwest near midnight. The overnight low is forecast at 10 C.
Cooler and windy Monday
The Durham forecast turns cooler Monday. Mainly cloudy conditions should clear late in the morning, while northwest winds rise to 30 km/h with gusts up to 50. The forecast high is 16 C.
Monday night is expected to bring cloudy periods, a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 2 C. Tuesday should bring a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 14 C.
