Courtice lane restrictions are in place on Bloor Street while Durham Region crews repave a section east of Prestonvale Road.
The affected area runs from 100 metres east of Prestonvale Road to 540 metres east of the intersection. The restrictions began the week of September 21 and are scheduled to continue until October 31.
Businesses remain open during construction
Businesses along the work zone remain open. Drivers should expect delays, follow temporary signs and use extra caution around workers, pedestrians and cyclists.
Unfavourable weather could change the construction schedule. Durham Region advises travellers to check its Traffic Watch map for current road conditions before heading through the area.
The work is intended to safely repave the street. The Region says it will try to complete the project as quickly and efficiently as possible while maintaining access through the construction zone.
