The Brock Awards of Merit recognized seven residents and organizations for heritage, environmental work, food support, sports, accessibility and volunteer service.
Brock announced its second annual recipients September 24 after a ceremony the previous night.
Community groups recognized
The Beaverton Thorah Eldon Historical Society received the heritage award. Cannington Horticultural Society was named Environment and Climate Change Champion. Sunderland Lions Club received the community services award.
Residents and programs honoured
Candace Dove received the Social Development Award for more than 25 years with Brock Township Food Bank. Brock Rugby Club received the sports award. Beaverton Town Hall Players received the accessibility award, and Katie Probst was named Volunteer of the Year.
