Residents in Durham Region, particularly newcomers to Canada, will have the opportunity to learn more about brain health and dementia awareness during a special educational session scheduled for March 9, 2026, in Ajax.
The event, titled Brain Health & Dementia Awareness, will take place at 458 Fairall Street, Unit 5 in Ajax from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The session is part of a wellness learning series designed to help participants understand brain health, dementia, and available community support services.
The program is free to attend and is specifically open to IRCC-eligible newcomers, offering valuable information and resources for individuals and families who want to learn more about maintaining cognitive health and recognizing the early signs of dementia.
A guest speaker from the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region will lead the session, sharing expert insights about dementia, brain health, and support services available in the community.
