Ajax Morning Sexual Assault Investigation is underway after Durham Regional Police appealed for the public’s help following a reported sexual assault near Harwood Avenue and Rossland Road on Thursday morning. Investigators are asking anyone with cellphone, dashcam, surveillance footage, or information about the incident to come forward.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. near Harwood Avenue and Rossland Road in Ajax.
The Ajax Police Seek Suspect Following Reported Morning Sexual Assault investigation began after the victim reported that a man approached her, attempted to engage in conversation, and offered to shake her hand before allegedly sexually assaulting her.
Police say the suspect fled the area immediately following the incident.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
Investigators describe the suspect as a brown male, approximately 35 to 45 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. He is believed to have balding short grey hair, facial stubble, noticeable gaps in his teeth, and was last seen wearing a tan-coloured shirt.
