Ajax fall recreation registration begins this week, and residents now have a new online tool to help find programs and prepare before registration opens.
The Town of Ajax has launched a customizable Digital Recreation Guide designed to make it easier for residents to browse recreation programs, activities and services.
Users can narrow their search based on program category, location, age group, preferred days and times.
Ajax Fall Recreation Registration Dates
According to the Town’s registration information reported for the fall session, Ajax residents can begin registering for aquatic programs at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Registration for other recreation programs is scheduled to open to residents at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.
Non-resident registration for all programs is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 7 a.m.
Popular recreation programs can fill quickly, so residents are encouraged to review their options before registration opens.
How the New Ajax Digital Recreation Guide Works
The new online guide allows users to build a more personalized list of recreation opportunities.
People can select the types of programs they want, preferred recreation facilities, appropriate age groups and convenient days or times.
No account is required to create a customized guide.
Users can also download their customized results as a PDF. Program listings in the downloaded guide contain links that can direct users to the corresponding registration pages.
Registration Still Takes Place Through Active Ajax
The Digital Recreation Guide itself is not the Town’s registration system.
Residents must still complete registrations through Active Ajax. The Town recommends reviewing programs in advance and adding preferred selections to an Active Ajax wishlist so they are easier to find once registration opens.
An Active Ajax account is required for online registration even though an account is not required to use the new digital guide.
The Town also warns that program listings and available spaces can change quickly, meaning saved or downloaded guides may not always reflect the latest availability.
Residents planning to participate in Ajax fall recreation registration are encouraged to prepare their program selections before their applicable registration date.
