Get ready for a hands-on gardening adventure this April 4, 2026, at RONA! We are excited to invite your little ones to join our RONA Kiddos Workshop, where they will get to experience the joy of starting seeds, learn the basics of gardening, and leave with their very own seedlings to plant this summer. This workshop is perfect for children aged 5 to 12 who are eager to explore the world of gardening and nature. Parents can join in on the fun by supervising their children as they enjoy this interactive, creative activity.
A Fun, Educational Experience for Kids
Gardening is not only a great way for children to connect with nature, but it also teaches them valuable skills like responsibility, patience, and creativity. At this workshop, kids will learn the process of planting seeds, care for the young plants, and take home their seedlings to nurture them at home. It’s a wonderful opportunity to spark your child’s creativity and allow them to engage in an activity that benefits the environment.

What to Expect: A Hands-On Learning Experience
During the workshop, each child will receive a small pot, seeds, and the opportunity to learn how to start their very own plants. They’ll get their hands dirty while planting, watering, and even learning about the different types of plants that can be grown from seeds. As they get familiar with the tools and techniques of gardening, they’ll also understand the importance of environmental sustainability and how small actions can contribute to a healthier planet.
This workshop is not just about planting seeds—it’s about fostering a love for nature and the environment that will last a lifetime. Gardening is a rewarding and educational activity, and your child’s experience at the RONA Kiddos Seed Starting Workshop will undoubtedly encourage them to explore their green thumbs further.
Special Program for Little DIYers
Every child who attends the RONA Kiddos Workshop will receive a fun DIY apron, and each time they attend a workshop, they’ll collect a pin for their apron. After collecting five pins, your child will be awarded a special gift in December 2026 as a reward for their continued participation. It’s a great way to keep them engaged and motivated while learning new skills.
