Toronto man has been arrested and charged with sexual assault following a meeting with a woman he had been communicating with via the Snapchat app. The incident occurred on July 5, 2025, in Ajax, at Harwood Avenue and Bayly Street.
The victim reported being sexually assaulted after meeting the suspect in person. Following a thorough investigation, Durham Regional Police arrested 22-year-old Austin Jeffrey Stremble, who was charged with sexual assault. Stremble, known by the Snapchat handle ‘AJSWRLD22’, was taken into custody without incident.
Police have expressed concerns that there may be other victims involved. Stremble has been released on an Undertaking pending further proceedings.
