Missing 90-Year-Old Man Durham Region: Police Issue Alert
Police across the Greater Toronto Area are asking residents to assist in locating a missing 90-year-old man in Durham Region, after Toronto police confirmed he was last seen near the city’s east end.
Joseph, whose surname has not been released, was last seen close to Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street East just before midnight on Thursday, January 29. Due to bitterly cold temperatures, police say there is growing concern for his safety.
The search has expanded across multiple jurisdictions, with Durham, York, Peel, and Halton police services sharing alerts and requesting the public’s help. Durham Regional Police have urged residents throughout the region to remain vigilant.
Joseph is described as five feet five inches tall, with white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a beige coat, red-and-black striped vest, blue jeans, and blue rubber walking shoes.
Investigators have not confirmed whether Joseph is travelling on foot or by vehicle. Police say he may be driving a greyish-blue Toyota Corolla with Ontario licence plate DCKX933.
