A Port Perry Fairgrounds pop-in session will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, giving Scugog residents another opportunity to share feedback on the future of the fairgrounds.
The Township of Scugog is hosting the community session at the Nestleton Community Centre from 1 to 3 p.m. The event was originally scheduled for Dec. 11, 2025, but was postponed due to weather conditions.
The rescheduled session comes days after Scugog Mayor Wilma Wotten confirmed that no decision or plan has been made regarding the future of the Port Perry Fairgrounds.
During the session, residents will be able to meet with staff from the consulting firm hired for the project, ask questions, and provide input through discussions and written surveys, according to the township.
Municipal officials noted that the daytime session was added after residents requested an option that would be more accessible for those uncomfortable driving at night. Previous engagement sessions were held in November, with most scheduled in the evening.
More information about the fairgrounds project is available on the Township of Scugog’s website.
