Durham Regional Police suspect that a Uxbridge Fatal Crash on January 28, 2026, was caused by a medical episode. The single-vehicle accident occurred when a Subaru SUV veered off Regional Road 1, struck a snowbank, and collided with a tree around 6:30 pm. The driver, a 41-year-old Uxbridge resident, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they later passed away due to the injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities believe a medical condition, such as a heart attack, may have caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
