Durham Regional Police have arrested a suspect following a bank robbery in Oshawa earlier this month.
Police said officers from Central West Division responded to a robbery at the TD Bank located at 22 Stevenson Road South at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Friday, January 2. A man entered the bank and passed a note to an employee demanding cash before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect and took him into custody several hours later near his residence. Police confirmed the accused is a 38-year-old man from Oshawa.
The suspect was held for a bail hearing. Police noted that the individual’s name and additional details are available on the Durham Regional Police Service website.
