Lane Restrictions Coming to Thickson Road North
Durham Region is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Thickson Road North (Regional Road 26) in the Village of Brooklin, Town of Whitby. The restrictions are required to allow for the safe installation of a new watermain to support upcoming development.
The lane restrictions will be in effect from December 22 to February 5, between Carnwith Drive East and Baldwin Street North. Officials note that unfavourable weather conditions could impact the construction schedule.
The region acknowledged that the work may cause temporary disruptions but stated efforts will be made to complete the project as efficiently as possible. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and remain mindful of pedestrians, cyclists, and construction crews in the area.
