Southern Ontario residents should brace for blustery winds and intermittent flurries this weekend, according to Environment Canada.
Saturday is expected to bring increasing cloud cover throughout the morning, with a 40 per cent chance of flurries across much of the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Oshawa, and Pickering.
Winds from the south are forecast to strengthen by midday, with gusts reaching around 40 km/h. The daytime high is expected to be near 3°C in Mississauga, though wind chill values could make it feel closer to -11°C during the morning hours.
Conditions are expected to worsen Saturday night, with additional flurries and strong wind gusts up to 80 km/h in Toronto and 60 km/h in Mississauga. Overnight temperatures will drop to around -4°C, with wind chill values making it feel closer to -9°C.
Looking ahead to Sunday, Environment Canada forecasts a high of -3°C, a continued 40 per cent chance of flurries, and an overnight low near -9°C.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to use caution, as gusty winds and blowing snow could impact travel conditions.
