An Oshawa crash and power outage closed part of Simcoe Street North early Wednesday before crews restored service and reopened the road.
Durham Radio News reported that police were called about 4:55 a.m. September 23 after a minivan struck a hydro pole near Simcoe Street North and Connaught Street, north of Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Driver suffered minor injuries
The driver was reported to have suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The collision knocked out electricity and forced a road closure. Oshawa Power restored service shortly after 7 a.m., and Simcoe Street later reopened. The available report did not state whether charges were laid.
