Pickering holiday hours will affect municipal offices, libraries and cultural services on Wednesday, September 30, for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The Civic Complex, Pickering Museum Village, Pickering Animal Shelter and Dorsay Community and Heritage Centre will be closed.
Most recreation facilities remain open
Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, Dunbarton Indoor Pool, Don Beer Arena, East Shore Community Centre, George Ashe Community Centre and Dr. Nelson F. Tomlinson Community Centre are scheduled to remain open.
The Central Library will also be open. Claremont Library, George Ashe Library and Greenwood Heritage Library will be closed for the day.
Residents should confirm program times directly with the facility because open buildings may still use modified schedules. The City’s service-disruption line is also available for current information.
