Eligible electors are being asked to confirm their mailing address before Oshawa internet voting begins for the 2026 municipal and school board elections.
Online voting opens at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, and remains available until 8 p.m. on Voting Day, Monday, October 26.
Voter letter contains online ballot instructions
The City will mail each registered elector a Voter Information Letter containing instructions and the credentials needed to access the online ballot. Residents should check the voters’ list now to make sure the letter will be sent to the correct address.
The City’s online voter service also allows residents to find their ward and review the certified candidates. Eligible electors can vote online using a computer, tablet or smartphone from any location with a reliable internet connection.
Paper ballots remain available on Voting Day
Paper-ballot voting will remain available on October 26 for electors who prefer to vote in person. During designated advance-voting periods, Voter Assistance Centres will offer devices, help with online voting and support for voters who need to update their information or replace a letter.
Eligibility and identification requirements continue to apply. Residents should rely on the City’s election site for current instructions and assistance locations.
