The next Durham waste advisory meeting will be held online Tuesday, September 29, giving residents an opportunity to follow the committee that reviews matters connected with the Durham York Energy Centre.
Meeting 61 of the Energy from Waste–Waste Management Advisory Committee is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m.

Durham Region says members of the public can watch the meeting through the Region’s live-streaming website. The agenda will be posted on the municipal events calendar.
Residents planning to follow a particular issue should review the agenda when it becomes available because the Region’s notice announces the meeting date and viewing information but does not list the individual items to be discussed.
The advisory committee provides a forum for information and public oversight related to energy-from-waste and waste-management operations. Its meetings may include operational reports, environmental monitoring information and updates related to the Durham York Energy Centre, depending on the published agenda.
