Scugog Recreation Registration for the Township’s 2026–27 fall and winter programs is set to open Monday, Aug. 17, giving residents access to a new season of recreational activities for a variety of ages and interests.

According to the information released by the Township, registration will begin at 7 a.m. on Aug. 17.

Fall and winter programs available

The Township of Scugog offers seasonal recreation programs designed for children, youth, adults and older adults.

The new registration period covers activities scheduled throughout the 2026–27 fall and winter seasons.

Scugog’s recreation department offers a range of programming throughout the year, including registered programs, skating, youth activities, swimming, camps and drop-in recreation opportunities.

Program availability, schedules and fees vary depending on the activity.

Residents should review individual program descriptions before registering to confirm age requirements, dates, times, locations and costs.

School break registration also opens

The Aug. 17 registration date will also include programming planned around the 2026–27 school calendar.

Families will be able to register for available activities scheduled during PA days, winter break and March Break.

Scugog operates Camp Scugog and other school-break activities designed to provide children with supervised recreational opportunities when schools are closed.

The Township describes its camp programming as offering age-appropriate opportunities for children to explore, learn and participate in activities in a safe and inclusive environment.

Wait lists available for full programs

Residents who are unable to secure a place in a popular program are encouraged to join the wait list.

Scugog notes that additional spaces or programs may sometimes become available when there is sufficient demand.

Joining a wait list can therefore provide residents with another opportunity to participate if someone withdraws or if additional capacity is created.

Program fees vary, so residents should review the Township’s online recreation listings for current pricing.

How to register online

Once Scugog Recreation Registration opens, residents can register online through the Township’s recreation registration system.

Participants must sign in to an existing account or create a new account before selecting programs.

After logging in, users can browse program categories, choose the activities they want and follow the online prompts to complete registration.

Online payments can be made using Visa or Mastercard. The Township notes that Visa Debit and American Express are not accepted through the online system.

In-person registration also available

Residents who prefer not to register online can visit the Scugog Community Recreation Centre at 1655 Reach Street in Port Perry during regular business hours after registration opens.

The Township accepts cash, debit, cheque, Visa and Mastercard for in-person registration.

Residents should remember that spaces are limited and some popular programs may reach capacity quickly.

Preparing an account and identifying preferred activities before Aug. 17 could make the registration process easier.

With Scugog Recreation Registration opening at 7 a.m., families and residents can begin planning their fall and winter activities for the upcoming 2026–27 season.
