The Highway 407 Contest is offering Ontario drivers a chance to win up to one year of free toll travel, attraction passes and digital gas cards through three summer prize packages.

The Summer Adventures Contest is open to eligible new and existing 407 ETR My Account customers until August 31, 2026. Durham Region drivers may be interested because Highway 407 ETR extends east to Brock Road in Pickering and serves commuters travelling across the Greater Toronto Area.

Three prize packages available

The grand-prize winner will receive the Ultimate Road Trip Experience, which includes one year of free Highway 407 ETR travel, a 2027 Canada’s Wonderland family season pass and a $500 digital gas card.

The second prize, called the Weekend Getaway Experience, includes six months of free Highway 407 ETR travel, Toronto CityPASS admission for four people and a $300 digital gas card.

The third-place City Explorer Experience includes three months of free highway travel, Toronto CityPASS admission for four and a $150 digital gas card.

The contest is intended to help families plan summer trips while highlighting the time drivers may save by using the toll highway.

Who can enter the contest?

The Highway 407 Contest is open to Ontario residents who are at least 18 years old.

Participants must be either new or existing 407 ETR My Account customers. Anyone who does not already have an account can create one online at no cost.

After signing in, participants must complete the official contest entry form. They must also take an eligible trip on Highway 407 ETR before the contest closes, using a licence plate or transponder registered in their name.

407 ETR states that no purchase is necessary to enter or win, although participants should carefully review the official terms and conditions to understand the available entry method and eligibility requirements. The company’s contest page confirms that entries are being accepted throughout August.

Only one entry is permitted per eligible participant during the contest period.

Contest closes August 31

Entries must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Anyone planning to enter should avoid waiting until the final day in case additional time is needed to create an account, register a vehicle or complete the required form.

Winners are expected to be selected through a random draw and contacted directly. The supplied contest information indicates that the winners will be announced on September 16.

Participants should be cautious of fraudulent messages claiming they have won. Contest entrants should verify any communication through their official 407 ETR My Account or independently confirm the sender using contact information published on the company’s website.

407 ETR has separately warned customers about fraudulent text messages impersonating the toll-road operator. Customers should not click unfamiliar links or open attachments from unknown senders.

Highway serves Pickering drivers

Highway 407 ETR runs for approximately 108 kilometres from the Queen Elizabeth Way in Burlington to Brock Road in Pickering.

The highway uses electronic tolling rather than toll booths. Trips are calculated using factors that include the distance travelled, vehicle type, time and whether the driver uses a registered transponder.

That eastern connection makes the contest relevant to Pickering residents and other Durham drivers who use the highway to travel through the GTA.

Drivers remain responsible for ordinary tolls and applicable charges unless they win one of the free-travel prizes or qualify through another official promotion.

The Highway 407 Contest remains open through August 31, giving eligible Ontario residents several weeks to create or access their account, review the rules and submit an entry.
